About Me

I believe brain health is one of the most important foundations for living a meaningful and vibrant life as we age. My work focuses on helping people strengthen brain health in midlife, build resilience through life’s transitions, and sustain cognitive vitality and engagement over time.

I support cognitive and emotional well-being across the adult lifespan, working with individuals proactively investing in brain health as well as those navigating cognitive, health, or life transitions. My approach blends compassion with evidence-based science to help people strengthen resilience, daily functioning, and overall well-being as they age.

I hold a PhD in Counseling Psychology from Lehigh University and completed postdoctoral fellowship training in Geropsychology (Harvard Medical School). My training included specialized work in aging, brain health, and geropsychology/neuropsychology, and I am a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT).

I have advanced training in several evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). I also spent many years working as a behavior specialist and consultant in long-term care settings, supporting residents, families, and staff navigating the cognitive, behavioral, and emotional challenges that can accompany aging.

Over nearly 15 years at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, I led clinical and programmatic initiatives focused on brain health, resilience, and behavior change across neurology, psychiatry/geriatric psychiatry, and primary care. I developed services supporting cognitive and emotional wellness, digital health innovation, and patient engagement. As an Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School, I also mentored trainees and colleagues in evidence-based approaches to brain and behavioral health.

In addition, I co-directed a brain wellness program supporting individuals with executive functioning challenges and neurological conditions, as well as their care partners, through individual and group-based services designed to strengthen resilience, daily functioning, and quality of life.

Today, my coaching and consultation work focuses on brain health, motivation for sustainable lifestyle change, and helping individuals translate wellness goals into consistent daily habits. Using evidence-based approaches such as Motivational Interviewing and cognitive-behavioral strategies, I help people clarify their values, strengthen motivation, and move from intention to meaningful, sustainable action.

In addition to working directly with individuals and families, I collaborate with physicians, aging-focused organizations, and wellness or longevity-oriented practices when coaching or consultation can support motivation, adherence, and sustainable lifestyle change.

At its core, my work is about helping people protect what matters most: their mind, their independence, their relationships, and their ability to live a meaningful, engaged, and vibrant life as they age.
